one good song: ‘Take Cover’ by Vib Gyor

I loved this song from the second series of The Big C, a show that contains a surprising amount of lovely music.

I used TuneFind to track down the… track… and have since played the song approximately 368 times.

‘With a name like Vib Gyor, this band must come from Scandinavia somewhere,’ I thought. Not so. They are no longer out and about (they disbanded, as bands do) but, back in the day, the members hailed from Leeds in England. The unusual name is actually derived from the first letters of all the colours in the rainbow — in order from the shortest to longest wavelengths (i.e. backwards)!

Most songs that I love deeply are mellow and haunting. ‘Take Cover’ is no different.

I hope you like it.

Beautiful song. Also, you’re great at approximation.

This reminds me of an up-and-coming British band I recently discovered, Kodaline. I recommend ‘All I Want’ to start you off. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-cOCmC_m23E
